Kuala Lumpur Malaysia is the perfect stop during your Asia adventures if you need a little bit of Western comfort. Shopping in Kuala Lumpur (where you can actually buy underwear in your size – hallelujah) is on many visitors’ lists and the food is soooooo good too! A lot of cheap flights pass through here too, so it’s worth taking the time to explore this city on a layover if you’re going through Kuala Lumpur airport.

When you visit Kuala Lumpur, I recommend heading straight for the food. Malaysian food is wonderfully varied and delicious. Go and eat drink KL by going on a foodie Kuala Lumpur tour. Here’s my best food in KL.

The accommodation in Kuala Lumpur is varied but I love the hostels here. They’re very funky, fresh, creative and clean. I personally stayed at Paper Plane Hostel.
