One of the biggest reasons I started traveling in the first place, 8 years ago, was to practice self love. I had listened to what society wanted from me for too long. I wasn’t listening to me. As a result, it was hurting my self-esteem.
What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever said in a foreign language by accident? When I’m travelling, I always try my best to immerse myself with the locals and make an effort. A recent incident in China however with a can of lemonade, proved to me that the way I had been learning the language wasn’t exactly…spot on. This led me to look into ways to learn new language fast.
Like a lot of solo female travellers, there’s a chance you’ll want to meet people when traveling alone. You may be worried that you’ll be lonely or won’t have anyone to help you out when you need it most. Yet, I’ve found travelling alone far from being lonely. It opens you up to a lot of interaction and I’ve always received help and companionship when I’ve needed it.
